QBE Swans Academy Pre-trials Training - Boys & Girls (Aug)

Kicking Dynamics will be running sessions for boys and girls wanting to improve their skill level and knowledge leading up to the QBE Swans Academy Boys and Girls Trials in August.

It can be daunting for players when there can be up to 30+ coaches and 200+ kids trialling on each night. These sessions are designed to give players confidence, improve skill level and give an insight into what is expected, to help give you an edge on the night.

There will be 2 session types, the first is an optional Open Training Session which has a skills and individual focus. The second session is the Pre-Trials Training Session, which has an academy trials focus.

Program is designed by former Sydney Swan, inaugural GWS Giants Female Head Coach and QBE Swans Academy Coach, Tim Schmidt.

OPEN TRAINING SESSION (OPTIONAL):
COST: $50

Boys & Girls:

  • Date: Wednesday 9th August

  • Time: 4:00pm - 5.30pm

  • Age Groups: 10-14 year olds

  • Location: Robertson Road Fields, Centennial Park

Session will include:

  • 1.5 hour session

  • Skill related

  • Feedback on skills

  • More individual focus

  • Plenty of touches

Please bring:

  • Appropriate training attire

  • Appropriate clothes (hat, sunscreen, warm clothes etc)

  • Boots or runners (up to the child)

  • Water bottle

ACADEMY PRE-TRIALS TRAINING SESSION:
COST: $89

Boys:

  • Date: Friday 18th August

  • Time: 4:00pm - 5:30pm

  • Age Groups: 10-14 year olds

  • Location: Robertson Road Fields, Centennial Park

Girls:

  • Date: Wednesday 16th August

  • Time: 4:00pm - 5:30pm

  • Age Groups: 11-13 year olds

  • Location: Robertson Road Fields, Centennial Park

Session will include:

  • 1.5 hour session

  • Specific Academy type trial drills*

  • Feedback on drills

  • What the Academy look for

  • How to conduct yourself

*Some drills may vary at Academy Trial night, however, principles will remain the same.

Please bring:

  • Appropriate training attire

  • Appropriate clothes (hat, sunscreen, warm clothes etc)

  • Boots or runners (up to the child)

  • Water bottle
